The late Coach Tony Robichaux

If you’re located in any part of Louisiana or if you follow college baseball at all, you know that recently we’ve lost a legend. Coach Tony Robichaux was an incredible man, whose impact encompassed so much more than just his position as the coach of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Baseball team.

Over his tenure, he mentored and discipled so many players and we are  grateful to see the fruit of his labor within our communities and spread all over the world.

We lost Coach Robichaux on Wednesday, July 3. On Friday, July 5, Camelot Senior Living had a huge Spectacular Summer Splash planned for residents from 5 nearby facilities. What you see in this picture is a testament to the work that Tony Robichaux did.

Pictured are: Anthony Babineaux and Resident Patricia Brupbacher

Coach Anthony Babinaux is the Assistant UL¬†Baseball Coach. Mrs. Patricia Brupbacher is the grandmother of Coach Robichaux’s daughter-in-law, Leigh Ann. She is the proud great-grandmother of two Robichaux girls.

When we thanked Coach Babineaux for coming out two days after Coach Robichaux’s passing, his response was

“My pleasure. Continuing Robe’s work.”

We pray for the Robichaux family during this time and pledge to help continue Robe’s work along with the rest of the Ragin’ Cajun Nation.
